The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 203 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday in Lagos, the Federal Capital Territory and four other states.
Disclosed on its official website on Monday, the NCDC also reported one additional COVID-19 related death.
According to NCDC, Lagos recorded the highest numbers for new infections with 186 new infections, Edo – 4, Oyo – 4, Rivers – 4, FCT – 3, while Kwara also reported 2 new cases.
The health agency said that the 203 new COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 169, 532, with 164,699 COVID-19 recovered patients discharged so far in the country while the death toll from the virus is now 2,127.
It said that a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
